Dr Eirini Saloniki
Eirini is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Services Studies (CHSS) and the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU), University of Kent. She has previously held other research positions in the University of Kent, and University of Leeds (Academic Unit of Health Economics). She joined the RDS SE team in March 2017. She holds an MSc in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business and a PhD in Economics from the University of Kent.
She is an applied economist with research interests in health economics, applied microeconometrics and labour economics. Her PhD thesis explored the reasons behind the lower position of the disabled in the UK labour market with a focus on wages and employment rates. She has been involved in a number of economic evaluation studies funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). She is an External Affiliate of the Health Econometrics and Data Group (HEDG) and a member of the Health Economists’ Study Group (HESG).
