Dr Ellen Donovan
Ellen worked in the NHS as a Medical Physicist for twenty five years before joining the RDS. Her research experience and interest is in the application of physics to radiotherapy for cancer treatment. She completed her PhD in 2005 and has held two NIHR fellowships, most recently a Career Development Fellowship award.
Ellen has experience of preparing research bids particularly for the NIHR Fellowship and the Research for Patient Benefit schemes. She is a member of the trial management groups of several national clinical trials in radiotherapy for breast cancer and is currently an NIHR Research Training Advocate for Healthcare Scientists.
Ellen is a member of the Institute of Physics and The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine.
