Stacey Rand Research adviser/ social care
Stacey joined the Kent RDS SE team in November 2019. She is a Research Fellow at the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) at the University of Kent.
Stacey is a psychologist by background. Since joining the PSSRU in 2012, her research has focussed on the measurement and application of social care outcomes in policy and practice. This research has used mixed method approaches, including survey designs (interview, online or postal), qualitative studies, documentary analysis, and secondary analysis of national social care datasets.
She is part of the team for the Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit (ASCOT) at the University of Kent with a particular focus on psychometric methods and carers’ quality of life outcomes (www.pssru.ac.uk/ascot). Stacey has also been involved in translation and cross-cultural validation studies of the ASCOT measures into Dutch, German, Finnish and Japanese.
