Dr Oya Eddama (Research Adviser)

Oya joined the RDS in July 2022 as a Research Design Service Adviser, providing advice and practical support to researchers developing grant applications. Oya worked at the University of London as a distance learning tutor in public health before joining the RDS. Her research experience is in both quantitative and qualitative methods. She completed her PhD in 2005 on the use of economic evaluation in decision making in the NHS.

Oya has 10 years’ experience in health economics in the field of maternal and child health from the University of Oxford. She has published on economic evaluations alongside clinical trials, systematic reviews, and qualitative research. Her interests include developing research proposals, the funding process, and teaching.
